How to place an order

To place an order and enter into a legally binding contract with us, you must be over 18 years of age. All contracts will be concluded in English. When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy those goods.

Select the item you wish to purchase and click the “add to cart” button, selecting the quantity of the item (the default is 1). You can edit the shopping cart and also return to the shop. When ready to checkout, navigate through to the order screen where you can add your personal details, your billing and shipping address, finally check your order and personal details, and make payment.

  1. You will be sent an automated e-mail to acknowledge your order showing which goods you have ordered – this is not confirmation that a contract has been made between us. (If this email does not arrive you may have incorrectly entered your email; also check junk mail).
  2. Most orders are shipped within 1-3 days. Sometimes unexpected delays do occur and we will email you to confirm this is satisfactory before committing to the contract.
  3. When we despatch your goods, we will send you a despatch email formally accepting the order.

On rare occasions we may need to cancel your order for the following reasons and will email you. We will re-credit to your account.

To help ensure there are no problems with your delivery, please make doubly sure that you enter your correct delivery and contact information.

Prices and Payment

All prices are in Pounds Sterling, and include applicable UK taxes at the prevailing rate.

We use Paypal as our secure payments partner. You can use your own credit and debit cards with Paypal and do not need a Paypal account in order to use the service. Kyrene Designs cannot see your credit/debit card details. This is a very secure and highly popular method of payment with buyer protection – please see Paypal’s own site for more information.

Delivery

Post and Packing charges
You can find details of our current delivery charges here

We deliver to most permanent private addresses within the United Kingdom, but not to PO box numbers, and temporary accommodation addresses. We hope to offer an international delivery service in the near future.

Delivery time is estimated, under normal Royal Mail conditions, at around 2-5 working days from date of order. Some goods may be shipped later than 3 days, and you will be informed. We will ship all paid for goods within 30 days - unless otherwise agreed with you.

We obtain proof of posting. Some deliveries will require a signature to confirm receipt.

Delivery Failure
We cannot be held liable for delivery failure caused by failure to gain access to the delivery address, or failure to obtain a signature when required, and so if a package is returned as undelivered, we will email you and attempt re-delivery.

We are not responsible for delivery delay from any event beyond our control i.e. industrial disputes, system breakdowns, accident etc.

Royal Mail does not classify an item as lost in transit until 15 working days have passed after posting. Your package may still arrive within that time. Please contact us if there are undue delays so we can advise and help sort out the issue.

Receipt of goods and trying goods on

You are the owner of goods you have ordered when they have been delivered and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

When trying on jewellery, ensure that you are not wearing make up, cream or perfume that can leave a scent, or we may be unable to accept the return of the item as ‘used’. Do not force items on and off.

Cancellation ‘change of mind’

This cancellation (returns) policy does not apply to the following goods, which are exempt from the right to cancel:

You can cancel your order up to the end of the 7th working day after you receive the goods. You must tell us in writing (i.e. email), stating your order number. You do not have to give a reason, but an explanation would be helpful.

To avoid disappointment and unnecessary cancellations, we provide clear photographs that show items larger than actual size. Please pay attention to the provided measurements for a realistic idea of scale, see Product Descriptions.

Returning cancelled goods

It is your statutory duty to retain possession of the goods, keeping good care of them until they are returned to us. Goods must be in a re-sellable state - that is unworn and undamaged.

A refund will include the original postage cost, but you will pay the cost of returning the goods. We will refund you using the same payment method.

You are responsible for risk of loss or damage on returns. If you choose to return goods, we will not be responsible for any loss or damage to them in transit, and so please securely wrap and protect goods (include original packaging). And we recommend that you use a recorded or insured special delivery service, (as a minimum you should obtain a certificate of posting from the post office as ‘proof of posting’).If returned products are lost or damaged in transit, we reserve the right to charge you (or not to refund any amounts attributable to) such loss or damage.Should you fail to return goods, we are entitled to charge the costs of recovery of the goods from you.

To discourage theft, please do not write jewellery, pearls etc on the outside of the package or any word suggesting something of value.

Address to: KD Returns, 73 Waterloo Road, Uxbridge, Middx, UB8 2RS, UK. An email letting us know you have posted goods would be helpful.

Faulty Goods

Goods are well made, inspected and properly packaged prior to despatch. In the unlikely event that they are faulty, please email us within a reasonable timescale.
If they arrive damaged, please email as soon as possible so we can give you instructions.

We may need to investigate the fault and agree the most appropriate resolution, typically offering you a replacement, repair or refund. An item that is later found to be damaged due to improper use by customer mishandling cannot be refunded.

Product Descriptions

All items are genuine as described. Every effort is made to ensure that the products we supply correspond as closely as possible to the samples shown on this website, but they may not be 100% identical. Colours, shapes and sizes of the beads may vary slightly. Colours may vary in accordance with the settings of your monitor, printer etc.

Photographs represent what you will receive, or, a close representation if more than one product. Items are handmade and also due to the irregularities found in beads and supply of components, we reserve the right to sell goods with very minor changes to the item photographed i.e. different extension chain, clasp, or earring fitting etc, but all within the same type of fitting and quality – for example a very similar hook to that shown, not a completely different type of clasp such as a toggle. For Murano glass, there might be minor differences from that shown in the photograph in terms of the accompanying small beads, as with the irregularities of handmade glass, best fit’ is always the desired outcome.

All measurements are approximate. Photographs are larger than life-sized, so check measurements precisely with a ruler.

As far as we are aware from our suppliers, all findings comply with the EU Low Nickel Directive.

Jewellery is not hallmarked as the silver components are below the weight at which hallmarking is required by UK Law. Pre-made sterling components may be marked '925'.

Privacy
